Scrapping about my Mom

My Mom passed away in January and I'm finally feeling strong enough to start sitting down and working on some scrapbook pages to honor her life. 

Embossing Instructional Video

This month you can get free embossing folders from Close To My Heart with each two packs of cardstock you buy. I've just received my first 2 folders in the mail today and hope to get to try them out in the next couple days. This video taught me several things I didn't know like: = paper has a grain to it and it matters what direction you emboss in - these embossing folders have a slit in the top that allow you to emboss all the way across a long piece of paper - there are ways you can control the depth of your embossing. Timberline Scrapbook Workshop - March 23rd

I will be hosting a scrapbook workshop in my home on March 23rd at 1 pm. We will be using the Timberline paper and making this two page workshop.

This Workshop On The Go kit costs $29.95 and includes enough materials to make this layout, as well as the one shown below with plenty left over for a calendar page and some cards or whatever else you'd like to craft.

I'll give you instructions to make this additional layout as well along with other project ideas.

Sticky Boy

I love this video, it shows how durable the Close To My Heart acrylic stamps are. The 'mascot' stamp is called sticky boy and he gets tortured in this video!

Frosted Pop Up Card

I had so much fun using products remaining from my Frosted Workshop Kit to make this fun pop up card. I posted a link to an earlier instructional video. I used the Frosted paper, and the Polar Bear Holiday stamp set to make this!

The card folds flat to go in an envelope, but pops open to stand up.
